Definitions

“CPE”, “CPE Company”, “CPE Media & Data Company”, “CPE Media”, and “we/us” means CPE Media Inc. and its affiliates or associates and their directors, officers, shareholders, agents, employees or other representatives.

“CPE Sites” or “Sites” mean websites owned and operated by CPE, including but are not limited to, cpecompany.ca, privatecapitaljournal.com, canadametals.ca, financings.ca, privatecapitalnewswire.com, metalsnewswire.com, and any new or replacement sites for which CPE owns and operates.

Your privacy is important to us. CPE respects and is committed to protecting your privacy. This privacy policy lets you know how your personal information is collected and used by CPE Sites. We will use your personal information only in ways that are compatible with this privacy policy.

Information we collect

CPE Sites uses subscription forms for our subscription services. CPE Sites collects subscriber name, valid email address, company information, and other contact information, and in rare cases, credit card information directly to bill subscriber for the services.

Credit card information

CPE uses Stripe to handle our payment process.  Your credit card information is stored securely with Stripe, CPE does not have access to your card information.

IP addresses

Every computer connected to the Internet is assigned an “Internet Protocol” or IP address. The IP address reveals nothing personal about you other than the IP address from which you have accessed our Sites. Like all web servers, our servers or third party analytic firms log your IP address each time you request a page from our Sites. We use this information to examine our traffic in aggregate and to investigate misuse of our Sites, or to cooperate with law enforcement if required.

Newsletters

CPE uses third-party email marketing and analytics platforms to track email opening, clicking through, forwarding and other information. Email addresses that are not active or having our email opening tracking blocked, will be marked as “inactive” and removed from our system. To ensure continuing receiving our newsletters, don’t block our email tracking.

Double opt-in to newsletters

In complying to Canadian anti-spamming laws, CPE newsletters require strict double opt-in.  Unconfirmed, unsubscribed and inactive email addresses are removed from our list(s).

Uses of information

Information provided by you is for the sole purpose of you obtaining the information or services of your request. The information you provide with us will be kept strictly confidential and will not be made public or provided to third parties without your approval. We may disclose your personal information if we are required to do so by law. If you have provided us with information, such as deals or news specifically so that they will appear on CPE Sites or in CPE databases then that information, deals or news will be made available to our subscribers and all visitors.

CPE Sites may contain links to other websites. We make no representations with respect to the privacy practices of such websites, including those of our advertisers or sponsors.
